Leading with Emotional Intelligence

About the Presenter:
Karla Monroy (She/Her/Hers) is a Senior Modern Languages & Linguistics Major on the Applied Linguistics Track at UMBC. Outside of UMBC, she likes to binge-watch TV shows (preferably anything Marvel-related). Karla believes that leadership is about empowering and uplifting other people within their communities. Her goals as a Leadership Development Intern are to teach people about importance of leadership for future professional goals. Outside of being a Leadership Development Intern, Karla is a part of the UMBC Crafters Club and is a Grit Guide in the Undergraduate Admissions Office.

Leading with Emotional Intelligence (Part 1) and (Part 2): Emotional Intelligence (EI) is a key element in becoming an effective and inclusive leader, this Leadershop explores what being emotionally intelligent means and how it positively impacts the process of leadership.
