Welcome

The UMBC SGA organizes undergraduate students in creating a distinctive community, supports co-curricular and academic experiences, identifies and gives a voice to students’ hopes and concerns, engages students in campus activities and decisions, builds mutually beneficial partnerships with individuals and organizations on and off campus, and promotes and defends students’ welfare.

As one of the governing bodies at UMBC, SGA meets with key administrators, organizes and empowers the undergraduate student body, and approves campus-wide policies in support of an active, academically enriched, social student environment.

For more information on how to get involved in shaping our campus community, be sure to follow UMBC SGA social media accounts and reach out! We are also located on the second floor of The Commons, Suite 2B20!
