Teacher Ratings

Welcome to the SGA Department of Academic Affairs Teacher Ratings page. These ratings come from the results of the SCEQ bubble sheets that we all fill out at the end of each semester. There are ratings for most of the professors at the university. Included for each professor is their ratings in the five categories we felt most exemplefied a good professor. At the bottom is the overall score we gave them based off a formula weighing each category: 55% for effectiveness, 15% for instructor interest, and 10% for the other three categories.

Also included on the page is the average score for the department as well as the university overall for each category, so you can see how each professor measures up against their colleagues. A score of 5 is the best, and goes down from there. If you have any questions about the ratings system or feel a mistake has been made, contact Director of Academic Affairs Gabe Rettaliata at gabriel2@umbc.edu. Enjoy!
