CANDIDATE PROFILE
1. As a UMBC student, I have served in a number of student organizations on campus. I have been involved with the Erickson Hall Community Action Board through the Resident Student Association (RSA), greek life as a brother of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, the Political Science Council of Majors, as well as the UMBC Student Government Association. As someone who has been involved in various student organizations, I know first-hand what they deal with. I wish to serve as Vice President for Student Organizations in order to use my experiences in those organizations and my SGA experience for the benefit of the 250+ organizations at UMBC. I also have thorough knowledge of resources on campus, developing and editing constitutions, as well as the inner workings of SGA and the Office of Student Life when it comes to funding, chartering, and recognizing student organizations. 2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of student organizations and serve as a centralized resource: event planning, fund raising, request funding, advocating, scheduling assistance 2) Work on projects for the benefit of organizations, including but not limited to, revising university policies that inhibit campus life and student creativity and lobbying for lower prices from Chartwells, etc. 3) Create a streamlined system for student organizations (work with event planning, business services, finance board, and CommonVision to make processes and policies easier for student leaders) 3. I am an outgoing, sociable, and hardworking person who is passionate about public service and enjoys working with people. 2) I have been involved in various aspects of campus life and student organizations, including Residential Life, greek life, Student Government, and the Political Science Council of Majors. 3) I am an approachable person who enjoys talking with diverse groups of people and has lobbying and advocacy experience.
