CANDIDATE PROFILE

Tae Oh

Candidate for Senator

Questions:
1. What experience and qualifications do you have?
2. What is your platform? What do you hope to accomplish if you win?
3. What I really want students to know about me is…. ?

Candidate Responses:
1. I have been part of many clubs, making suggestions to officers and helping other members out. Worked at restaurants, maintaining a friendly environment and getting whatever the customer needed to be satisfied. Worked at retail stores, where working in a group was a big necessity.

2. I hope to improve everything for everyone. Any input I get from commuters, residents, or any other kind of students, I'd like to act on their complaints. Whether it's something about the food at the commons, or something at the library, I'd like to help.

3. I'm a commuter who has lived on campus before. This gives me the benefit of understanding the residents and the commuters needs. I'm a hard working student so I know the responsibilities that other students have and their difficulties. I'm strong in my beliefs, yet still open to suggestions.

Brief Platform Statement:

  • Improve commuter programs, such as "Good Morning Commuters". Giving more benefits, wherever its lacking.
  • Help improve UMBC food services. Quality of service and food.
  • Improve the school's environment and lacking student involvement through promotions of events (Quadmania, concerts, UMBC sports)
