Neketa Kakar

    Neketa is a freshman at UMBC and is glad to be serving as a first year ambassador. As a biology major, she someday wishes to attend veterinary school. She is from Germantown, MD and attended Damascus High School where she was an active member in the National Honor Society, Best Buddies, and SADD. She also played recreational softball and contributed to the Afghan Hindu Association in her spare time.

    During her first year at UMBC, she has immersed herself into the Campus Climate Initiative, Persian Student Association, and WISE. She hopes to learn a lot from the SGA and get more involved during her years at UMBC.
