Senate Meeting, 02/12/08

Meeting in order 5.33pm

Robert Somers:
Book buyback prices
Price not fully paid back
Not sure which books will be used again
Place orders on used books can be increased so it could be cheaper for students
During Book buy-back, students will be told if previous books will be used again
Book orders sometimes not given by professors
Not possible for students on scholarships to use scholarship money on online book orders
Notifications sent out to professors for deadline date on book orders for classes
ISBN will probably be placed online in about a year or so because a law may be passed requiring it
Downside to this: if the wrong book is ordered, the bookstore could be held responsible for this
Students will not be visiting the bookstore if books are to be ordered online
Bookstore employees will be out of work???

Commuters, faculty and staff will be included into this event
