These meetings are open to all students to listen to discussion. Athletics/Recreation Policy Committee Meetings
Talked at length about Duke Lacrosse scandal and that they’re trying to prevent an incident like that happening here
Athletics/Recreation received $1,000,000 to redo Walker Ave. and Driving Range fields
Talked about club sports and how successful our club sport program is compared to others in our division
1 out of 7 UMBC students are involved in varsity or club sports
MRCA epidemic (MRSA is commonly known as an antibiotic-resistant staph infection)
UMBC’s lacrosse team is on the cover of US Lacrosse Monthly!
NCAA will be visiting our school and making sure that our facilities are up to par
How is student representation on the Accreditation Committee? There is a possibility that students will be on this committee, but there is no guarantee (because it’s an NCAA specific committee).

RSA Town Hall Meeting - Tomorrow (Tuesday November 27th) at 8pm in Harbor Multipurpose Room; wear your SGA shirt and come with questions! Jay and other SGA members will be there

Legislation for funding of Stress-Free Zone (Heather)
Senate Legislation
Asking for an allocation of $2000 from the Senate Additional Allocations Fund for the purchase of items not otherwise purchased in the Stress-Free Zone budget and by OSL
Somewhere from $750-$1500 coming from OSL (co-sponsorship)
There is a total of $5000 in the Senate Additional Allocations Fund at the beginning of the year; this is the first time this semester that we are taking money out of this fund

Heather and Rahilla (Town Hall Meetings)
• Sent out emails to each CAB; got only one response from the Harbor CAB; hopefully will get a response from the rest of the CABs by the end of this week
• Feel free to e-mail Heather or Rahilla if you have questions
• Will be sending out an email asking SGA members from each residence hall to attend their respective CAB meeting with them
• How will we get SGA members involved in the RSA Town Hall meeting? E-mail sent out last week… About 5 or 6 SGA members have said that they will definitely be there

• Writing the proposal and will give it in this week; Eric will look at it; they should be around next semester
• Who will collect the information? How often will it be collected? – We should make a position for someone who can do this

• Will be rescheduling that meeting very soon (weren’t able to attend)
• There will be one more issue of The Retriever this semester
• There was an article on the Red Card program last week and a couple mentioning Prove It!
• Joe R(?) – will set up a meeting with him to talk about the master plan of the University; will probably occur in January; will be the first time they will able to get a good look at the campus master plan; good opportunity to ask what will be done with the space in the UC where the Bursar’s office was and the space where Hillcrest was
