The following are meeting minutes from the Senate meeting. The Senate meets every Monday at 5:30 PM in Room 318 on the third floor of The Commons. These meetings are open to all students to listen to discussion. • Debt to be paid for the JSU ( $2557.00 )
• Event – several organizations money collected from to pay for this event

Revenue enhancement dedicated to higher education
• Support increase funding for higher education by governor O’Malley
• Not support specific proposal or budget
• Rally in Annapolis on higher education on Wednesday
• 54 mil would be dedicated to higher education
• Corporate income tax not favored but support higher education
• These funding will be distributed throughout a lot of other offices

• Information on how athletic fee has been allocated throughout.
• Athletic fee advisory committee will be set up
o Keeping track on athletic fee
• These fees will be made publicly

• Rate the SGA from a scale of 0-10 on it’s improvement (results are above average)
• Rate the SGA from a scale of 0-10 on individual (results are lower)
• This could be due to dealing to issue that were approached with rather than going out there
• Possible solutions to improving student’s attitudes towards SGA
o Go up to students instead of them coming to us
o Placing ballot boxes around campus
o Town-hall meetings
o Use the “Prove it” program as a resource
o Brainstorming with another sga senator by next meeting
