UMBC Bicycle Rack Policy
*Bicycles must be parked in bicycle pods or bicycle racks. Bicycles chained
to trees, buildings, poles, etc. will be removed immediately.
*Bicycle racks are for temporary day use only.
*Any bicycle left in a rack beyond a two-week period will be considered
abandoned and subject to padlock and bicycle removal by Facilities
Management.
*Any bicycle removed by Facilities Management will be held in storage and
posted on the UMBC Police Lost & Found Web page until August 1 of each year.
All bikes not reclaimed by this time will be donated to charity.
*Removed bicycles may be reclaimed by contacting UMBC Police. Proof of ID, a
description of the bike (manufacture & color), and the location of where the
bike was removed from will be required by Campus Police for all reclaims.
